Apartment on Ballarat
This project is a renovation of a 1994, two-bedroom, brick veneer apartment on the banks of the Maribyrnong River in Footscray. The project is modest but tries to deliver impact through the use of light materials and a pop of colour. The apartment already had beautiful natural light and an excellent view of the river and Footscray Park; however, it had seen better days and was in need of a refresh. We were tasked with giving the home a new life and improving on the functionality of the key areas, while working within the existing bones.
The kitchen and bathrooms were reconfigured to make better use of the space, and pops of colour were added to the finishes to brighten up the interiors. The project also featured new dark brown cork flooring throughout the ground floor, as well as white film-faced plywood joinery.

“Their expertise was so valued and they walked the line between listening to our sometimes odd ideas, and guiding us towards solutions which would work better but still remain true to the vibe of what we wanted. Their attention to detail and knowledge of materials and techniques is brilliant, and they were able to recommend a fantastic builder”
