Merry

Description:

This project was an internal renovation to an existing 1990’s brick veneer unit in Coburg. Compact in size, the house had a great advantage - a fabulous view to the Merri Creek bushland beyond. However, the layout of the rooms meant that the view was obscured and spaces were dark. We rearranged the interior, and added new timber windows and sliding doors to let the outside in. To add height and volume, the ceiling over the new kitchen and dining was removed revealing trusses which were cleaned and painted. The kitchen and bathroom were also renovated with playful colours as an antidote to beige spaces.

We worked with Beth Builds in an all female-team. A truly collaborative process with a warm and joyful project.
