Merry

This project was an internal renovation to an existing 1990’s brick veneer unit in Coburg. Compact in size, the house had a great advantage - a fabulous view of the Merri Creek bushland beyond. However, the layout of the rooms meant that the view was obscured and spaces were dark. To remedy this, we rearranged the interior, adding new timber windows and sliding doors to welcome the outside in. In order to add height and volume, the ceiling over the new kitchen and dining area was also removed, revealing trusses which were cleaned and painted. Finally, as an antidote to the existing beige spaces, the kitchen and bathroom were renovated and rejuvenated with playful colours, breathing new energy into the home. 

Circle Studio worked alongside Beth Builds in an all female-team for this project, which resulted in a truly collaborative process and a warm and joyful final product.
